Use this format: City, State — for example Bath, NY or Corning, NY. Avoid full street addresses.

Common fixes:

1. Add a comma between city and state: Bath, NY not Bath NY
2. Use the 📍 pin button to auto-detect your location instead of typing
3. Try your ZIP code instead: 14810
4. If your town is very small, try the nearest larger city

The app uses NOAA HRRR radar data updated every hour. If it looks wrong:

1. Tap Refresh — you may be seeing a cached result from earlier
2. Check that your Home location is set correctly — weather is based on your home coordinates, not your current position
3. Rapidly changing conditions (fast-moving storms) may lag by up to 60 minutes behind the model update cycle
4. If consistently wrong, try setting your location to the nearest town with a weather station rather than a very small village

Weather data is sourced from Open-Meteo using NOAA radar models — it is not a paid weather service and may occasionally differ from hyperlocal conditions.

Routes are fetched from OpenStreetMap (OSRM) — a free routing service.

Common fixes:

1. Tap Refresh — the route service may have been temporarily unavailable
2. Make sure both Home and Work locations are set and geocode correctly (no error messages)
3. Very remote locations with limited road data may return fewer route options
4. Routes are cached for 24 hours — if your locations changed, tap Refresh to reload

If routes consistently fail, the app still provides the full weather verdict and conditions — routes are a bonus feature.
